Sports: MHSAA rules treat homeschooled students like any other transfer student. To play on a school team, a student must be enrolled at that school and taking and passing at least 66% of a full-time student's course load there, generally 4 of 5 or 6 classes or 5 of 7. Most homeschooled students haven't played for a school team, so they are likely eligible under the transfer rule once enrolled at that level. Local school boards can set stricter rules. Homeschool groups can also run their own teams.
